18.05.2018· Whoo. The motor on your hf is rated at 2500rpm. The other motor is a 1000 rpm faster. you may end up eating alot of end mills. I suppose that you could use the mill for wood, but then I don't know how the gears hold up. I don't know if any one has done this with a mini mill, but maybe you could try a tread mill motor.

22.05.2013· The HF and the Grizzly are essentially the same machine. The Grizz has MT3 taper, which is a little bit of a down side. I ended up going with the Little Machine Shop Hi-Torque mini mill with the solid column. It is definitely more expensive than the Grizzly or the HF, but you get a larger table, brushless motor, and a belt drive already installed.
